This summer, we will have heavy dump trucks driving by our house from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on a regular basis. There will still be access to the coastal trail, good breakfasts and comfortable beds here at Coastal Trail bed and breakfast. Derek and I and assorted pets welcome you with the understanding

airport and downtown. We adjoin Anchorage's Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, a 20-mile scenic urban trail where summer guests
can hike, bike, spot a variety of birds including eagles, and marvel at midnight sunsets that linger over Cook Inlet. In winter,the trail is groomed for cross country skiers. Moose like the trail too!

Derek and Sherry Tomlinson, are lifelong Alaskans. Sherry is a retired high school teacher and enjoys gardening, writing, watercolor painting, 
raising herbs and white pigeons, outdoor activities and doing whatever she wants to do.   Derek was raised in Alaska and is an experienced outdoorsman.  He breeds and trains field bred springer spaniels and is active in hunting organizations. 

When you are our guest, we try to make your visit as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.  We provide wonderful beds and good food. 
Guests can get their dog fix with the spaniels, tease Nigel the cat, take a walk on the coastal trail, stroll through the garden, or just kick back and relax.
