Welcome NOLS students. As you begin your Alaskan adventure as a NOLS student, we hope you’ll stay with us. We have been hosting students since 1986 in our Anchorage home. There is an urban trailhead across the street from us. We have bikes we can loan to you. A beautiful walk along Cook Inlet leads downtown. A theater, restaurants, shops and an REI store are within walking distance. Or you can hang out and rest up. Naps are encouraged!

This is what we provide for NOLS students

A hot breakfast and an evening snack if desired
a comfortable queen size bed with fluffy linens
A ride to the train station where the NOLS bus will take you to NOLS headquarters
A helping hand when you need it
Friendly household pets to help you feel at home
Outdoor hot tub (bring a suit!) with quiet garden

We suggest you come a day or two early to relax after your flight. NOLS suggests returning home promptly when you finish your course. You’ll probably be anxious to see everyone and tell your tale. (There will be one for sure)!
